THE STAND REVIEW

⭐️⭐️⭐️ THE STAND returns with a big-budget new series that captures only a small part of what makes the Stephen King masterpiece so compelling.

RAISED BY WOLVES REVIEW

⭐️⭐️⭐️ While not the grand slam we were hoping for, RAISED BY WOLVES is an ambitious and impressive attempt at bringing difficult themes to the forefront of mature sci-fi again.

HIS DARK MATERIALS: SEASON 2

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Season 2 of HIS DARK MATERIALS proves itself a worthy successor to GAME OF THRONES, balancing fantasy with smarts in equal measure. Lead by a brilliant Dafne Keen, the series continues to impress at every turn.

BEARTOWN

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Arriving on HBO Nordic, BEARTOWN is an intensely humane look at small-town violence and generational trauma.

THE UNDOING

⭐️⭐️ HBO's latest prestige drama is handsomely made, well-acted, and utterly dull in depicting a mystery that never gets off the ground.

THE THIRD DAY

⭐️⭐️
In trying to do a little of bit of everything at once, THE THIRD DAY is an admirable mess that stumbles in its own conventional and often dull storytelling.

COASTAL ELITES

⭐️ It's made with the best intentions, but HBO's COASTAL ELITES is a painfully condescending and smug attempt at boomersplaining politics to young people.

AN AMERICAN PICKLE

Delightfully funny and surprisingly touching. It won't change the world with its droll humor and simple story, but it doesn't need to.

LOVECRAFT COUNTRY

LOVECRAFT COUNTRY is destruction and celebration, a reinvention and throwback, and one of the smartest, most poetic, and brilliant works of the past decade.
